VMware Certified Professional 6.5 – Data Center Virtualization (VCP6.5-DCV)
VMware Certified Professional 6.5 – Data Center Virtualization (VCP6.5 DCV) certification validates a learner’s knowledge and ability to implement, manage, and troubleshoot a vSphere 6.5 environment. The VCP6.5 – Data Center Virtualization exam consists of two exams.

VMware Certified Professional 6.5 Data Center Virtualization exam (2V0-621).

VCP6.5-DCV is an intermediate-level certification. We recommend that learners have a basic understanding and experience with virtualization concepts, working with VMware Workstation, familiarity using Windows Server 2012 (or Windows Server 2016), and six (6) months experience working directly with vSphere 6.5.

Exam Eligibility
It is important that you note that the VCP6.5 DCV certification is a VMware Certified Professional-level certificate. To obtain this certification, learners must pass the Foundations exam (choose from version 6 or 6.5). To be eligible to sit for VCP6.5-DCV, learners must also attend an official VMware course (there is eight to choose from and any course can fulfill the attendance requirement).

As mentioned above, in order to be eligible for the VCP6.5 DCV exam, learners must successfully complete an approved VMware course and pass the Foundations exam.

Recertification
The VCP6.5 DCV certification is valid for 2 years. There are three options for learners to recertify their VCP6.5 DCV credential.
For your VCP certification, take the current exam;
You can earn a new VCP-level certificate from a different learning track.
You can upgrade your VCP certification to the next level (VMware Certified Advanced Professional, or VCAP).
The Next Step
